Overview

The Simulation Training Instructor/Operator supports Yorktown Systems Group’s contract efforts for the Army National Guard (ARNG) Training and Range Support Program. Responsibilities include providing simulation and gunnery training, operator certification, logistical support and exercise coordination across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide simulation and gunnery training (EST, CFFT, VCOT, MILES, etc.)
• Provide operator training/certification
• Perform Ground TADSS functions
• Provide nationwide exercise support
• Research doctrine and utilization strategy of applicable trainers
• Participate in creation and recommendation of lesson plans, POIs, etc.
• Ensure training systems and materials are operational before each class
• Provide guidance and problem-solving techniques to resolve operational issues
• Draft policy standards and procedures for the program
• Attend and participate in relevant TADSS training approved by the ARNG
• Coordinate system development, acquisition and fielding to ensure government approval
• Utilize TS-MATS to support state and unit training programs
• Assist in delivery, inspection and acceptance procedures (DIAP) for new devices or upgrades
• Perform technical integration, analysis and training of ARNG Command Unique TADSS
• Transfer knowledge to unit personnel
• Provide support in major exercises such as Combat Readiness exercise (CRX)
• Assist units during CRX rotations in installation, operation, support, removal and turn-in of TADSS
• Provide surge support to CRX rotations per ARNG master schedule

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in training and doctrinal implementation of TADSS
• Experience as an instructor, staff or cadre member
• Operating experience with Armor and Infantry TADSS in live training
• Technical knowledge of TC‑20.31 and TC 3‑20.31‑4
• Experience operating EST, CFFT, VCOT, MILES, UGT‑I
• Valid licensing for government‑owned or leased vehicles and forklift machinery
• Desired but not required qualifications: Abrams, Bradley, Stryker, Master Gunner, Senior Gunner

Clearance & Travel

• Able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
• Travel will be required; some travel may be required.
