Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain modeling and simulation software across Windows and Linux environments.

You will work with engineers and scientists in an agile setting to deliver robust, scalable simulations and contribute to architecture and test plans. The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering and at least 2 years of C++ experience, with a TS clearance and SCI/SAP eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development using C++.
• Strong experience in modeling and simulation principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in developing applications for Windows and Linux.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug software applications primarily in C++.
• Develop and maintain modeling and simulation software using best practices.
• Contribute to architecture and design of new features.
• Write clear, well-documented code.
• Collaborate in an agile environment and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects; deploy on Windows and Linux.
• Develop test plans and execute testing procedures.
• Stay updated with latest technologies in software development.
