As a Full-Time Simulation Software Engineer at MRI Technologies, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining advanced simulation software that tests and validates spacecraft systems. You will design and implement software models that accurately replicate spacecraft behaviors, ensuring high-fidelity simulations. Execute simulation runs with precision and analyze results to verify system performance against stringent program requirements. Collaborating closely with Lockheed Martin technical teams, you will ensure seamless integration of simulation software, enhancing the overall functionality.
Your expertise will be essential in debugging, optimizing, and enhancing simulation toolsets while contributing to design reviews and providing regular project updates. To thrive as a Full-Time Simulation Software Engineer at MRI Technologies, you must possess a robust skill set and a passion for problem-solving. A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, coupled with 3+ years of professional experience (or a Master's degree with 2+ years), is essential. Proficiency in Python (3.10) and C++ (20) is required, along with Linux development experience and familiarity with device communication protocols. Skilled debugging, unit testing, and integration testing capabilities are crucial, as is experience with simulation environments and simulation-based verification.
Attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, and excellent verbal and written communication will set you apart. Desired qualifications include experience with threading and concurrency, knowledge of real-time or mission-critical systems, and familiarity with tools like Jira, GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes. A background in spacecraft systems or aerospace engineering and the ability to navigate government contracts will enhance your contributions to our innovative projects.
