Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team in Massachusetts to build and maintain our simulation platform. You will implement software solutions, write thorough tests, and support features in production to deliver reliable software used by customers daily.

Responsibilities include implementing designs from senior engineers, unit/integration/end-to-end testing, post-launch support, code reviews, and contributing to on-call rotations and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ year(s) of professional software development experience in Java.
• Experience writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Familiarity with object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Responsibilities

• Implement well-defined software solutions based on technical designs provided by senior engineers.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and correctness.
• Support and maintain features post-launch, including investigating and resolving production issues.
• Participate in code reviews — both submitting and reviewing peer code.
• Contribute to operational excellence through on-call rotations, runbook creation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver on commitments.
