What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate simulations by programming, testing, and running scenarios alongside faculty instructors
- Gain proficiency in a range of simulator technologies, including anatomic models and virtual reality surgical simulators
- Provide operational assistance in the Simulation Collaborative and maintain documentation and resources
- Execute simulation sessions without supervision and collaborate on scenario development
- Create learning materials and scenario documentation while maintaining inventory for simulation rooms
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree or experiential equivalent in a healthcare or science-related field for the Specialist role
- Bachelor's degree or experiential equivalent in a healthcare or science-related field for the Specialist Intermediate role
- Minimum of two years of healthcare simulation experience for the Specialist Intermediate role
- CHSOS, CHSE, or CHSE-A certification may substitute for some experience
- Ability to move 50 pounds and remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in healthcare simulation or a related educational field
- Experience in maintaining and updating simulation hardware and software
- Familiarity with conducting technical training and attending relevant conferences
- Experience in providing operational assistance within a healthcare education setting
- Strong communication skills for engaging with faculty and staff
