Job summary

University of Arizona in Tucson seeks a Simulation Nurse Faculty to support and lead simulation-based nursing education. Multiple positions available, full-time or part-time with 20–40 hours per week and salary commensurate with experience.

The role collaborates with the SIMS team, maintains simulation labs, and provides remediation and guidance to students and faculty while advancing best practices in healthcare simulation.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master's degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in Arizona.
• CHSE and/or CHSOS credentials are preferred.
• Experience with high-fidelity simulators and simulation education.

Responsibilities

• Support a healthcare simulation laboratory learning environment using best practices.
• Lead, test, and refine simulation-based activities with the SIMS team.
• Prepare and manage forms, records, and reports with evidence-supported resources.
• Evaluate and provide feedback to students during simulation experiences.
• Operate simulators per scenario guides and activity specs.
• Assist with planning, trialing, validation, and running simulation activities.
• Maintain equipment, supply inventories, and labs with attention to detail.
• Mentor new faculty and staff and support tours/events for groups.
