Job summary

The Simulation Lab Technologist at Phoenix Children's Hospital provides operational support for experiential learning in the SIM lab, assisting the SIM Manager with setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and manikins for realistic scenarios. They manage supplies, inventory, data collection, and await direction from the SIM Manager to ensure high-quality simulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent OR associate’s degree in a related field.
• Two years of experience in direct patient care in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Experience in healthcare simulation.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical setup and takedown of healthcare simulation manikins and clinical lab environments per scenario protocol.
• Supports staff during simulation events with applications, props placement, and moulage setup to create realistic settings.
• Maintains AV media, computers, simulators, task trainers, and other department technologies.
• Keeps records of supplies and equipment inventory and maintains department assets.
• Acquires and restocks supplies as needed in the simulation suite.
• Develops repair/maintenance scheduling in consultation with the SIM Manager.
