Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Simulation Lab Technician for the Rush Simulation Center. This part-time role supports scheduling, equipment readiness, and hands-on operation of simulators and related tech during training sessions.

The position requires a High School Diploma and 2 years of patient care or related simulation experience; preferred health-science degree. On-site hours are 8-hour shifts, part-time schedule, with a focus on safe, effective education

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years of patient care experience as a Paramedic, EMT, Simulation Technician or Operating Room Technician.
• Technical / mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate MAC, PC and Windows platform computer systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a health-related discipline.
• Background in Medical Technology, Emergency Medical Procedures, or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Supports scheduling simulation training sessions and coordinates resources.
• Maintains and troubleshoots simulation equipment and supplies.
• Operates and maintains electronic simulators, task trainers, audiovisual, and computerized equipment.
• Coordinates laboratory housekeeping and equipment setup/takedown.
• Provides tours and demonstrations of the simulation lab.

Pay Range: $23.12 - $32.66 per hour

Summary:

The Simulation Laboratory Technician is responsible for assisting the RUSL Supervisor in scheduling simulation training sessions, stocking and maintaining supplies and equipment, setting up and taking down simulation training scenarios, and operating and maintaining electronic simulators, task trainers, audiovisual, and computerized equipment. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
