Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas is building the next generation of solid‑state, grid interactive power blocks for data centers, renewable energy systems, and microgrids. The Simulation Engineer will develop, maintain, and validate models for SSTs and microgrid architectures using MATLAB/Simulink to support product development and system validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in power system or power electronics simulation.
• Strong hands‑on experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or PSS/E, including dynamic system modeling and control system simulation.
• Solid understanding of inverter‑based and power‑electronic systems, grid‑connected and islanded power systems, fault behavior and protection fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• System‑level modeling & simulation for SST‑based microgrid systems.
• Build models at multiple abstraction levels to balance speed and fidelity.
• Evaluate voltage, current, power control loops and grid synchronization.
• Perform fault and protection studies using time‑domain simulation.
• Support HIL testing and correlate results with offline simulations.
