Job summary

Emerson in Marshalltown, IA is seeking a student intern to support CFD simulations for product designs. You will assist in creating, solving, post-processing, and documenting simulations under supervision.

You will develop scripting and automation, contribute to best practices, and collaborate with a collaborative team to maintain steady workflow. The co-op program offers hands-on experience and exposure to engineering software.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering
• Successful completion of Introductory Fluids course

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Junior or Senior Standing
• Experience with numerical simulations
• Experience with CAD software
• Demonstrated experience using Python or other programming/scripting languages
• Prior experience with engineering simulation through internships or project based engineering clubs (i.e. solar car, rocketry club, etc.)
