Des Moines University College of Health Sciences (CHS) is seeking a Human Simulation Educator to enhance experiential learning within the HS Lab. This role requires collaboration with faculty to design simulation scenarios, manage Simulated Patients, and provide technical support. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and two years of related experience. Starting salary anticipated in the low to mid-$60,000 range with generous benefits including health contributions and retirement match.
Qualifications
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's or Master's preferred in education, communication, arts, theater, simulation, or health sciences.
Minimum of two years related work experience in training, patient care, medical simulation, or education.
Willingness to flex time for morning, evening, or work-from-home as needed.
Responsibilities
Design and develop simulation scenarios aligned with course goals.
Lead logistical planning and execution of simulation events.
Train and manage Simulated Patients (SPs).
Conduct quality assurance of SP performance.
Provide technical support for simulation activities.
Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
