Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a part-time simulation support role in Texas. The incumbent will portray medical scenarios, guide student learning, and provide feedback during clinical simulations.

The position emphasizes memorization, improvisation, and the ability to follow instructions, with preferred experience in simulation environments and using institutional systems including Outlook, Word, PDFs, and learning platforms.

Qualifications

• No acting or direct experience is required.
• The minimum age eligible for hire is 18 years old.
• Must have the ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Must have the ability to memorize and be improvisational.
• Prior experience in a simulation environment (preferred).
• Experience using institutional systems, managing passwords, and communicating through Outlook email.
• Experience working with Word and PDF documents, accessing learning platforms, and using smartphone applications for secure access and two-factor authentication.

Responsabilités

• Performing a variety of duties in order to accurately and consistently portray specific types of symptoms as defined by a patient case.
• Simulate a variety of clinical scenarios including a patient's appearance, demeanor and affect, communication style, chief complaint, symptomatology, patient medical history, and physical finding.
• Demonstrate interviewing skills with students of the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, or other students utilizing the simulation center.
• Instruct and practice interviewing and some superficial physical assessment skills with medical students.
• Give feedback after interviewing the student.
• Evaluate and assess the student's skills.
• Deliver feedback in person verbally, written, or electronical
