Job summary

Eurofins EAG Laboratories, a seasoned materials testing pioneer, seeks a Scientist to join the SIMS group. You will analyze thin films with the SIMS tool, testing new and existing materials to reveal properties for product development.

The role emphasizes independent analytical work, rigorous reporting, and collaboration across teams. Candidates should hold a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Engineering with experience in materials characterization and surface analysis techniques.
• Experience with materials characterization tools.
• Familiarity with quality system documents and compliance with all system requirements.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills.
• High level of computer literacy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Exceptional written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analytical work independently, including complex tasks.
• Apply standard and non-standard techniques to determine the composition, properties, and structure of materials.
• Prepare detailed reports on analytical results for customers, including interpretation of findings.
• Provide technical reviews for reports prepared by other analysts.
• Evaluate customer requests, determine testing requirements, and prepare project quotations.
• Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and performance requirements.
• Potentially direct phases of revenue-producing projects.
