Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Coordinate allon siteaccounting functions with the Director of Finance.
- Oversight and training of Accounting/Finance staff, coordinated with Director of Finance.
- Ensure a timelyand accurate period-end close, includingproduction of financial statements.
- Assiststaff with GLfunctions, including Accounting Period and Year Endclosing.Cross training in assigned aspects of financial closings and analysis.
- Prepare or review monthly journal entries as assigned.
- Complete all Balance Sheet and Bank reconciliations (including treasury and credit card) accurately andin a timely manneras assigned.This includes analysis and reconciliation of majoraccountseach period.
- Providetimelyanalysis and financial support to Finance and SDC Resort leadership and divisions.
- Work closely with divisions toassistwith general ledger research, re-class entries, providingdocumentsand other items as needed.
- Coordinateand overseefood,merchandise andmaintenance,inventoryprocessingand timing.Reconcile inventory records with the GL as needed.
- Oversight and coordination of certificates of insurance with vendors.
- Coordinate and conductgeneral ledger/P&Lreviews foreach period end as assigned andassistResort divisions/leadership in preparation and review of P&L forecasts.
- Work in conjunction with Director of Finance to coordinate budget processes to include budget creation and reviews with divisions and preparation of budget review packages.
- Provide training and advice as neededregardingfinancial policies and procedures, GAAP,USALI,and other accounting practices.
- Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
- Produce the daily labor productivity report.
- Prepareand distributeany requestedfinancial reportsin accordance withthe company’s requirements in adherence tocommunicateddeadlines.
- Workwiththe Property Support Center (PSC) on any joint processes/requestsas needed, including but not limited toaccounts payable, treasury,internalauditand payroll.
- Ensure accounting records aremaintained/reconciled,and procedures are adhered to according to Corporate Accounting ProceduresandGAAP.
- Analyzeand make recommendations for profit improvement, expensecontrols,and operational processes/efficiencies.
- Assist Director of Finance in ensuring hotel compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, contracts, leases, legal agreements, and tax requirements.
- Learn the intricacies of all related systems/software.
- Assistin development and documentation of proceduresas needed.
- Display and effectively communicate Silver Dollar City Resort culture.
- Understand and ensure compliance with all Silver Dollar City Resort Finance SOPs.
- Understand and review all internal controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, master keys, payroll, and records to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.If deviations areidentified, corrective action is taken.
- Assist with Audit requests (both internal and external), including preparation of audit work papers.
- Assist with special projects, including regulatory compliance, as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or formal accounting education are strongly preferred.
- The minimumof 3 years of accounting management experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel,Teams,and Power Point.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, USALI, hospitality accounting systems (e.g., Opera, JDE, Workday, Oracle,ProfitSword, Hotel Effectiveness) and internal audit procedures.
- Experience with budgetingand forecasting.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Excellentleadershipand interpersonalskills, problem solving, team building,communication,and organizational skills.
- Opening hotel or hotel accounting experience preferred.
