Silicon Validation Software Engineer - High Speed IO Validation

Summary:

We are seeking a Silicon Validation Software Engineer to join our Silicon Technologies group. In this role, you will help design and validate high-performance, power-efficient processor systems-on-chip (SoC). Your work will ensure Apple products operate seamlessly, enabling millions of users to enjoy their devices. This position offers opportunities for growth from junior to senior levels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute system-level validation plans for high-speed IO IP blocks.
• Collaborate with SiVal, Firmware, Architecture, and Design teams to debug and resolve SOC issues.
• Coordinate testing activities and analyze validation results.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with embedded systems and SoC/system architecture.
• Knowledge of board schematics and test equipment such as USB, PCIe, DisplayPort, I2C analyzers.
• Expertise with high-speed interfaces including USB-PD, USB 2.0/3.0, Thunderbolt 3, USB4.0, PCIe, DisplayPort.
• Proven track record in silicon bring-up, debugging, validation, and characterization.
• Deep understanding of PHY design, architecture, and signal integrity techniques.
• Strong programming skills in C and scripting in Python for automation and data analysis.
