Job description

Job Title: Silicon Design Engineer V

Job Location: Redmond, WA (Remote)

Job Duration: 5 Months on W2

Summary: The main function of a Silicon Design Engineer V is responsible for all physical design tasks at the block and sub-system levels. These tasks include synthesis, floor planning, placement and routing, CTS, physical verification, IR/EM analysis, and closure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various physical design tasks at the block level
  • Responsible for various physical design tasks at the sub-system level
  • Assist in the physical design flow development/automation
  • Assist in the identification of library deficiencies within the technology and toolchain

Skills:

  • Expertise in floor planning, place and route, and physical verification
  • Experience in tape-outs of complex tasks
  • Attention to detail; analytical and problem-solving ability

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience required.

Typical Day in the Role:

  • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to manage RTL design for IP for the Xbox program
  • Key projects: This role will contribute to FPGA builds and support for firmware teams
  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: 10% meetings, 30% coding, 30% environment planning, 30% debug support
