SIL Engineer Technician Responsibilities:

1. Fabricate interconnecting cables and harnesses based on engineering drawings.
2. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of test bench and lab infrastructure equipment.
3. Must be able to attain a clearance if required.

Skills Required:

• Ability to crimp and assemble connector contacts and cable assemblies to aircraft standards.
• Ability to solder according to J-STD.
• Ability to read and understand aircraft wiring diagrams.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and diagrams for metal fabrication and assemblies.
• Experience with test equipment, troubleshooting, and wiring repair and isolation.
• Experience wiring serial data interfaces (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488).
• Experience installing fiber optic cabling for reflective memory hardware.
• Proper and safe use of hand tools and shop equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Familiarity with ESD and FOD practices.

Education:

• Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• High School diploma.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in a technical industry.
• Military experience in aircraft/systems maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to attain a clearance if needed.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Team player attitude.

Work Schedule: 1st shift, 9x80.
