Job summary

COMHAR, Inc. is seeking a SIL Counselor in Philadelphia, PA, to supervise and manage casework for SIL clients in congregate or scattered-site housing.

The role requires knowledge of SIL guidelines, communication across shifts, and adherence to confidentiality and safety standards. Responsibilities include leading individual and group activities, supporting daily living skills, and coordinating with team members to develop and review treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in human services plus 1 year experience.
• High school diploma/G.E.D. plus 3 years related mental health experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and consistent individual and group activities such as counseling sessions and skill teaching.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including medication management and health care.
• Assist individuals with mental health and substance use issues and help address coping skills and relapse prevention.
• Support clients in pursuing education and vocational resources like G.E.D. or college.
• Ensure safety and security of clients' apartments, including storage of valuables and personal funds.
• Document progress notes, treatment plans, and shift logs timely and accurately.

Education
