Job summary

Themis Insight is hiring Signals Analysts (Levels 1-4) to join our Fort Meade, MD team. You will work on SIGINT disciplines including COMINT, ELINT, and network/protocol analysis, collaborating with external partners in a high-security environment.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and relevant experience. TS/SCI with a polygraph is required, with location subject to client needs in central Maryland.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 2+ years for Level 1; more for higher levels per military programs and MIL training.
  • Experience in signals analysis (COMINT/ELINT) and design/engineering of relevant systems.

Signals Analyst Level 1:

We are hiring Signals Analysts (Levels 1-4) to work in the Fort Meade, MD area. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.

Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph.

Qualified Candidates Should Have The Following Knowledge/skills
  • Background knowledge and experience in SIGINT sub-disciplines: COMINT (Communication Externals/COMEXT), ELINT, and Network/Protocol analysis
  • Familiar with modern RF and communication technologies
  • Familiar with discovery mission and techniques
  • Familiar with collection and tasking flow
  • Proficient in software tools, such as: SEDB, THRESHER, WIRESHARK
  • Experience in working in collaborative environment with various external partners
  • Background in tradecraft and analytic development
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required
Signals Analyst Level 1:
  • A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military degree programs (or equivalent), OR who have completed relevant military training [for example, 9141 (Navy Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 1N2A (Air Force Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 451/461 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis)]; OR who have participated in or graduated from a relevant training program such as the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP), Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP), or Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program (MOSAP).
  • Degree must be in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A broader range of degrees will be considered for those who have completed a relevant training program listed above (e.g., 9141, 1N2A, 451/461, 452 or MCSAP/MESAP/MOSAP).
  • Relevant experience must be in signals analysis (COMINT, ELINT, FISINT and/or PROFORMA) and/or design and engineering of aerospace, communications, electronic or industrial systems.
Signals Analyst Level 2
  • Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military degree programs (or equivalent), OR who have completed relevant military training [for example, 9141 (Navy Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 1N2A (Air Force Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 451/461 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis)]; OR who have participated in or graduated from a relevant training program such as the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP), Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP), or Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program (MOSAP).

  • Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and 4 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 12 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military degree programs (or equivalent), OR who have completed relevant military training [for example, 9141 (Navy Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 1N2A (Air Force Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 451/461 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis)]; OR who have participated in or graduated from a relevant training program such as the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP), Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP), or Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program (MOSAP).

  • Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree and 11 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and 7 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 15 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 13 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed relevant military degree programs (or equivalent), OR who have completed relevant military training [for example, 9141 (Navy Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 1N2A (Air Force Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst), 451/461 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis)]; OR who have participated in or graduated from a relevant training program such as the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP), Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP), or Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program (MOSAP).
