The Signal Support Systems Specialist role ensures the flow of information within Army National Guard units by integrating signal systems, performing maintenance on equipment, and installing radio and data distribution systems.

Advanced team members supervise and train Soldiers, maintain equipment and devices, provide training for automation and communications gear, and prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit signal support.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be 17–35 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements apply as detailed by NATIONALGUARD.

Responsibilities

• Maintain radio and data distribution systems.
• Provide technical assistance for LANs and computer systems.
• Perform maintenance on equipment, terminal devices, vehicles, and generators.
• Support unit readiness through signal support functions.
