Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Signal Support Systems Specialist to maintain and operate radio and data distribution systems, and to support signal networks at the unit level.

You will perform maintenance, assist with automation and communications equipment, and help train others while preparing maintenance requests for signal support. This role offers paid training and benefits within a structured military program.

Qualifications

• Foundational mechanical and electrical concepts relevant to electronics equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and safety practices.
• Understanding of wiring techniques and line installations.
• Familiarity with communication security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain radio and data distribution systems.
• Provide technical assistance for computer systems and LANs.
• Support maintenance on signal equipment and vehicles as required.
• Assist training of soldiers on equipment use and safety.
