Job summary

Penn State University’s Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) in State College, PA seeks motivated Signal Processing Research and Development Engineers to join the Sensor Analysis and Data Modeling (SADM) Department. You’ll work on sonar-focused analyses, algorithm development, and data product tools for Navy and DoD sponsors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience for Intermediate level.
• No required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate Subject Matter Expertise with engineers, scientists and DoD personnel.
• Develop prototype algorithms for analyses and data product generation.
• Execute analyses including evaluation of algorithm performance and data quality.
• Support field testing, remotely or on-site.
• Deliver and transition results to stakeholders, scientists and software engineers.
