Job summary

NoTraffic is seeking a Signal Optimization Engineer to join our Operations team. The role focuses on simulating, configuring, deploying, and maintaining adaptive traffic products across North America, working within a hybrid environment with up to 25% travel.

A PE license or progress toward licensure is required. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in traffic signal experience and is proficient with signal controllers, Python, SQL, JSON, and related data analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of traffic signal experience (design, timing, operations, simulations).
• Professional Engineering License, or ability to acquire it in the next 6 months.
• Familiarity with signal controllers and cabinets; able to distill technical information for internal/external use.

Responsibilities

• Simulate, configure, deploy, analyze, and maintain adaptive traffic products.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Services group to deploy and support NoTraffic products.
• Travel up to ~25% to local sites or for deployments.
• Distill technical information for internal and external stakeholders.
