Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an onsite Signal Integrity Engineer in Texas to design, analyze, and validate high-speed circuits for next-generation servers, storage, and networking products.

You will work with hardware, PCB layout, and manufacturing teams to ensure electrical performance standards are met while developing test plans and performing lab measurements with advanced instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Typically 2-5 years experience.
• Solid understanding of high-speed digital design concepts, transmission line theory, and electromagnetic fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with SI/PI simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Cadence Sigrity, Ansys HFSS, Mentor HyperLynx).
• Experience with high-speed measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, etc.).Experience in PCB design and layout is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in server, storage, or networking hardware design is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis for high-speed digital interfaces using simulation tools.
• Collaborate with hardware and PCB layout engineers to optimize design for SI/PI.
• Generate simulation models and perform pre- and post-layout simulations.
• Define and review PCB design rules to ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop test plans and perform SI/PI lab measurements with oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SI/PI issues.
• Document analysis results, guidelines and best practices; communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with industry trends related to signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed design.
