Job summary

FASTSIGNS, a franchise of signs and graphics, is hiring a Full-time Graphic Designer in Tempe, AZ. You will create computer-generated full-color graphics and vinyl outputs for printing, and help modify designs from customer files to meet production needs.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of graphic design experience and 2-3 years in retail or counter sales, are proficient in Adobe Illustrator, and possess strong communication and multitasking skills to assist customers in person, by phone, and

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of retail or counter sales experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of graphic design experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
• Outgoing, responsive, eager to learn and has the ability to build relationships.
• Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously.
• Great listening and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied.
• Complete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to media.
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate
• Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files.
• Enjoy talking with and helping people solve problems.
• Help customers via email, phone calls, and walk-ins.
• Meet with Clients at Their Location to Discuss Options for Signage
