Job summary

FASTSIGNS is hiring a Full-time Graphic Designer to join our team in Tempe. You will create color graphics and vinyl outputs, modify designs from customer files, and prepare layouts for production.

You’ll help customers in person, by email or phone, and meet with clients to discuss signage options. The role requires 1–2 years of graphic design, proficiency with Illustrator, and strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail or counter sales experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of graphic design experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
• Outgoing, responsive, eager to learn and has the ability to build relationships.
• Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously.
• Great listening and organization skills.
• Sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more).
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied.
• Modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to media.
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate
• Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files
• Enjoy talking with and helping people solve problems
• Help customers via email, phone calls, and walk-ins
• Meet with Clients at Their Location to Discuss Options for Signage
