Job summary

Royston Group is seeking a CAD Technician to support design, development, and production from concept to manufacturing. You will produce accurate technical drawings and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

You will manage new product development projects, coordinate from concept to prototyping, create detailed shop drawings for signage, and contribute to engineering documentation and ECNs. Collaborate with external partners and shop personnel to ensure manufacturability and adherence to

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting or engineering technology.

Responsibilities

Lead fabrication of product prototypes ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
Maintain customer specification files and prototype requirements.
Develop structural designs and concrete footing details; provide stamped drawings when required.
Prepare weekly status reports on progress and delays.
Produce detailed shop drawings for custom signage and standard products.
Update drawings to reflect current manufacturing processes.
Generate BOMs and routing documentation using ABBA system.
Collaborate with Customer Service to reflect customer requirements.
Ensure products match engineering drawings and specs.
Issue ECNs and update drawings accordingly.
Interpret and apply engineering drawings with precision.
