Whitfield County, GA seeks a Public Works support staff member to assist with fabricating, installing, and maintaining road signs and traffic control devices. The role includes assisting with signal maintenance, work-zone setups, and utility locating in a county public works environment.
The ideal candidate completes a high school diploma or GED, has basic math and computer skills, and holds a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL within one year. On-call duties may be required.
This classification is responsible for assisting with work involved with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of road and street signs, with layout of proposed road projects, coordinating and performing maintenance on flood control structures and airport, right of way acquisition and investigation.
