Job summary

Sir Speedy Music City, a locally owned and nationally recognized signage, printing, and marketing services company, seeks an experienced Sign Shop Production Operator. The role is fully trainable for the right candidate and offers a fast-paced, creative, and flexible work environment through which employees contribute with a solid team of professionals.

We work with a dynamic client base to produce signs from ground signs to channel lettering, focusing on delivering an unparalleled customer

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Presentable, dependable, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Energetic, motivated, and able to solve problems on site.

Responsibilities

• Understand signage and graphics media and substrates.
• Proficient use of sign production and finishing equipment.
• Prepare substrates for application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; select technique per job.
• Perform quality assurance on pre/post construction by reading Work Orders.
• Finish laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
• Operate laminator with proper settings.
• Maintain inventory of media, laminates, and substrates.
• Maintain production rate and meet/exceed minimum rates per hour.

Job Summary

Our Sign Shop Production Operator works closely with our sales team, and our CSR's providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibility Overview

• Understanding of signage and graphics media and substrates.
• Proficient use of sign production and finishing equipment.
• Prepare substrates for application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for application.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image. Know how and when to use each technique.
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards (bubbles, rough edges, loose seams).
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
• Operate the laminator while maintaining proper fit and settings.
• Maintain a sufficient inventory of media, laminates, and substrates.
• Maintain production rate consistency; meet or exceed established minimum rates per hour.
