Job summary

Sir Speedy Music City is seeking a Sign Shop Production Operator to join a fast-paced, creative team. The role is fully trainable for the right person and involves supporting our sales team and CSR to boost customer satisfaction through high-quality signage.

You will work with a skilled production crew, operate finishing equipment, maintain substrates and materials, and help ensure on-time delivery for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Presentable, dependable, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Motivated, energetic and able to solve problems on site.

Responsibilities

• Support sales team and CSR to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Understand signage and graphics media and substrates.
• Proficient use of sign production and finishing equipment.
• Prepare substrates for application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images and apply proper techniques.
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, mounting printed pieces.
• Operate the laminator and maintain inventory of media, laminates, substrates.
• Maintain production rate and meet established minimum rates per hour.

Job Summary

Our Sign Shop Production Operator works closely with our sales team, and our CSR's providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibility Overview

• Understanding of signage and graphics media and substrates.
• Proficient use of sign production and finishing equipment.
• Prepare substrates for application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for application.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image. Know how and when to use each technique.
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards (bubbles, rough edges, loose seams).
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
• Operate the laminator while maintaining proper fit and settings.
• Maintain a sufficient inventory of media, laminates, and substrates.
• Maintain production rate consistency; meet or exceed established minimum rates per hour.
