Job summary

nPrint Graphix in Springfield, MO is seeking a motivated individual for vinyl graphics production and printing. You will follow layouts, prepare substrates, and operate printers while maintaining high quality and efficiency.

Training is provided and teamwork is essential in this small shop environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and a problem-solving mindset, with a no-drama attitude and collaboration across the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of printing/production experience preferred, but not required.
• Comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Follow layouts to apply vinyl or full-color graphics to substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from images using appropriate techniques.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform quality checks using Work Orders and proofing.
• Finish by laminating, encapsulating, or mounting printed pieces.
• Perform on-site installations as needed.
• Communicate with team and customers professionally.
• Report inventory levels to production manager.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and keeping work areas clean.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Adhere to company policies and ethics codes.
• Assist at front counter and consult with customers on project needs.

Job description

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with problem-solving skills, who pays very close attention to accuracy and detail. 2+ years of previous printing and/or production experience is preferred, but not necessary. Comprehensive training in all aspects of this position will be provided. Being part of a small team means that collaboration, reliability, appreciation of people with diverse experience and identities, and a no-drama, can-do attitude are essential. The right attitude will compensate for a lack of specific sign experience. Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image.
• Operate and maintain printer(s).
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
• Perform installations at customer locations or other off-site locations as necessary.
• Communicate with other team members and customers calmly and professionally.
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the production manager.
• Help unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain shop areas.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
• Assist at the front counter as needed.
• Understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment.
