Job summary

FASTSIGNS International. Inc is hiring a part-time Sign Production Specialist in Mooresville, NC. You will follow layouts to apply vinyl and full-color graphics, prepare substrates, weed vinyl, and operate printing equipment.

You should have 1–2 years in sign production, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods. The role offers a competitive pay and a flexible schedule with performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of sign production experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to stand for long periods (4 hours or more).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle vinyl applications.
• Ability to work under pressure to produce high-volume, quality work.
• Ability to operate basic printing equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Follow layouts to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates by cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
• Weed excess vinyl and manage complex images.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform quality checks by reading Work Orders and proofreading.
• Finish pieces by laminating or mounting as needed.
• Report inventory levels and restock as directed.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will:

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist:

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred

• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
