Job summary

FASTSIGNS #41701 is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team. You will follow a layout to apply vinyl or full-color graphics to substrates, prepare surfaces for vinyl application, and operate printers and finishing equipment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in sign production, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Competitive pay, vacation/holiday, bonuses, and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters/graphics
• Ability to work under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics on a substrate
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures by reading Work Orders and proofreading
• Finish by laminating and/or mounting printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to manager/franchisee
• Clean and maintain storage areas

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will:

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas
