Job summary

FASTSIGNS of High Point, NC is seeking a Production Specialist to create and assemble sign and graphic products in a fast-paced, creative environment. Follow layouts, prepare substrates, apply vinyl, and perform finishing steps while upholding quality standards.

This role requires lifting 75+ pounds, standing for long periods, and multi-tasking across up to 10 projects per day. Valid NC driver’s license, safe tool operation, and a drive for accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of safe operation of power tools and construction tools.
• Good math and proofreading skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment (≈10 projects per day).
• Enthusiasm for completing HIGH QUALITY projects efficiently.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented to ensure accuracy the first time.
• Valid State of North Carolina Driver’s License.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl and manage complex image layouts.
• Perform quality checks from Work Order and proof for errors.
• Finish pieces by laminating and mounting as needed.
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered.
• Maintain clean storage areas and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images.
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Typical Physical Demands

• Ability to stand/kneel for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 75 or more pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment
• Ability to fulfill projects in wide temperature variances and exterior weather conditions.
• Present and maintain a good driving record. Safely operate all vehicles and promptly report any incidents/infractions.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment (approximately 10 projects per day)
• Enthusiasm for completing HIGH QUALITY projects efficiently.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented to ensure every part of a project comes out correctly the first time
• Valid State of North Carolina Driver’s License
• Efficient at problem solving and creatively come up with solutions.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
