Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Saginaw, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to deliver patient care in the Family Care Department. This full-time role follows a typical 8am-5pm schedule Monday through Friday, with on-site responsibilities from greeting patients to assisting providers and preparing exams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED.
• CMA certification upon hire is REQUIRED.
• One year of MA experience is PREFERRED.
• Completion of THPG Clinical Training within 90 days is REQUIRED.
• New CMA candidates who externed may be considered.
• BCLS certification is REQUIRED within 90 days of hire.
• NCT training may be required upon hire (PREFERRED).

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using CMA processes.
• Performs general patient care following established standards.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
• Obtains and records vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, resp, height, weight).
• Administers medications and vaccines as ordered by the provider.
• May draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis and EKGs.
• Schedules diagnostic testing and follows up on completion.
• Documents care plans, tests, and results in the medical record.
• Communicates test results and care plans to patients by phone or mail.
• Maintains sterile instruments and cleans exam rooms.
• Escalates non-routine issues to management or providers.
• Ensures safety checks and patient privacy protections.
