Job summary

Valley Baptist - Brownsville is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct clinical patient care per shift, supervise staff, and ensure safe, high-quality nursing care. The role supports the CNO in delivering optimal patient outcomes and efficient resource management.

The RN will administer medications, follow hospital policies, and be prepared to respond in emergencies via HICS, with knowledge of all hospital codes and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or as required by state law.
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP if applicable by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct care following established safety, risk management, QA, and infection control standards; aim for optimal discharge.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administer medications safely and timely per hospital policy.
• Fulfill all HICS responsibilities and tasks as directed by the facility during emergencies.
• Know hospital emergency codes, purposes, and actions; adhere to policies for each code.
