Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automatic and manual transmissions on a variety of Chevrolet vehicles
• Perform thorough inspections to identify root causes of transmission problems
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble transmissions per manufacturer specs
• Replace or repair worn components including gears, clutches, seals, and bearings
• Conduct adjustments and calibrations to ensure proper transmission function
• Perform routine maintenance on transmissions
• Use diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot issues
• Document all work performed, parts used and labor involved
• Communicate diagnosis and repairs with service advisors including estimated completion times
• Stay up-to-date on Chevrolet repair procedures and safety requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
