Job summary

Courtesy Automotive Group is seeking an experienced GM Transmission Technician for Courtesy Chevrolet to diagnose and repair complex transmission concerns. You will work in a high-volume shop, focusing on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have prior automotive/transmission experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to operate GM-specific tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as automotive or transmission technician required.
• GM dealership experience preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace automatic and manual transmissions on GM vehicles.
• Perform advanced drivability and transmission diagnostics using manufacturer-specific tools and equipment.
• Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to GM standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and verify repairs.
• Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and labor operations.
• Maintain productivity, efficiency, and quality standards.
• Keep work area clean and follow all safety procedures.
