Job summary

FASTSIGNS is seeking a motivated Sign Maker & Installer to handle end-to-end production and on-site installation of signs. You will cut substrates, apply vinyl graphics, and prepare finished signs at a fast-paced shop and field environment.

The ideal candidate has strong hand skills, able to lift heavy loads, operate basic shop tools, and travel to customer sites using a boom truck or ladders. This role rewards teamwork, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication, basic math, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items as part of production.
• Proficient with computers and the Internet, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Follows a layout to place computer-generated vinyl or full color graphic images on a substrate.
• Prepares substrates for application, including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning.
• Weeds excess vinyl from computer-cut images.
• Performs quality assurance measures pre- and post-production.
• Reports inventory levels and stock to the center manager/production manager or franchise partner.
• Helps unload raw materials and cleans and maintains storage areas.
• Works on different projects simultaneously.
• Performs routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
• Establishes and maintains effective team relationships with all support departments.
• Follows all company policies, procedures, and codes.
• Ability to install signs and graphics at customer locations using various tools and methods.
• Handyman skills and basic construction knowledge are a plus.
• Ability to perform detailed site surveys and accurately capture measurements and scope.
