Sign Language Interpreter - VRS - Part Time - Charlotte, North Carolina

Join Sorenson Communications as a Sign Language Interpreter - VRS - Part Time - Charlotte, North Carolina.

Salary Range: $25-$60 per hour (based on location, education, and certifications)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Shifts: Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm MT. Selected candidates will work at least one shift on Monday, Friday, or Saturday.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass skills assessment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Interpreter certification
  • 3+ years interpreting experience preferred
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
  • Manual dexterity for computer operation
  • Reliable attendance

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret between ASL and spoken English accurately
  • Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements
  • Adhere to Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and RID Code of Conduct
  • Complete tasks and paperwork promptly
  • Adapt to changing technologies and schedules
  • Work effectively in team settings and under oversight
  • Participate in continued education and training
