Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking qualified American Sign Language interpreters to provide high-quality on-site interpretation at various customer locations in Oklahoma.

The role requires fluent ASL and spoken English, with strict adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct and professional conduct standards. The position is part-time/flex with perks such as flexible scheduling, a 401(k) plan with employer match, EAP, and massage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Provide accurate interpretation.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience (preferred).
• State licensure or credentials where required.
• You must be 18 years or older to apply.

• Ability to independently travel. Where driving is required, access to a vehicle, valid driver's license and required insurance.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the Interpreter will provide high quality professional American Sign Language interpreting on-site at various customer locations when needed. Interpreters must possess fluent American Sign Language and spoken English language skills, accurate interpreting skills, and thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Pay Range: $15.74-$65 (based on location, education, certifications, and interpreter specialties)

Job Requirements

• Must be able to work at least two hours per quarter


• Must pass the company's interpreting skills assessment
