Job summary

ZP Connect is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality on-site ASL interpretation at various customer locations. You will work under the Communication Center Manager, delivering accurate interpretation and professional conduct while upholding NAD-RID standards.

Requirements include fluent ASL and English, customer service orientation, and a willingness to travel as needed. This is a part-time/flex position with supportive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills required.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation in real-time.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture and NAD-RID Code of Conduct.
• State licensure or state-required credentials may be needed.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.
• 18 years or older.

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for consumers.

Job description

Sign Language Interpreter Community

Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the Interpreter will provide high quality professional American Sign Language interpreting on-site at various customer locations when needed. Interpreters must possess fluent American Sign Language and spoken English language skills, accurate interpreting skills, and thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Pay Range: $15.74-$65 (based on location, education, certifications, and interpreter specialties)

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to work at least two hours per quarter
• Must pass the company's interpreting skills assessment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for consumers

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills
• Able to provide accurate interpretation
• Good understanding of Deaf culture
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
• Three to five years of experience in interpreting (preferred but not required)
• As applicable, state licensure or state required credentials
• You must be 18 years or older to apply
