Job summary

Soliant is seeking two dedicated sign language interpreters to support a high school near Harvard, IL. These part-time contracts offer 0.5 FTE, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, starting ASAP through May 30, 2027.

Interpreters will provide accurate ASL-English interpretation in mainstream classrooms, collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure inclusive participation for students. Compensation ranges $28.39–$48.39 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold EIPA score 3.5 or higher with ISBE certification.
• EIPA 3.0+ may be considered with IBSE approval.
• Experience or training in an educational setting is valued.
• Strong ASL proficiency with cultural awareness.
• Effective collaboration with teachers and staff

Key Details:

• Part-time contract roles: 0.5 FTE, working 11:0 am to 3:00 pm daily, Monday through Friday.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score 3.5 or higher, along with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) certification.
• Candidates with an EIPA score 3.0+ may also consider with IBSE approval.
• Demonstrated experience or training in an educational setting is highly valued.
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language, with professional sensitivity and cultural awareness.
• Effective collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and students.
