Job Description

Invo Healthcare is the nation’s leading provider of behavior, mental health, and therapy services in schools, centers, and communities.

We’re seeking a talented, full-time Sign Language Interpreter to join our school-based services team in Batavia, IL.

Responsibilities

• Assist deaf/hard of hearing students by transmitting spoken messages and environmental cues visually, using the language or code that best meets the needs of the receiver, under the supervision of a certified teacher.
• Translate signed messages into spoken English.
• Participate in instructional planning and student evaluations.
• Attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings as a team member when necessary.
• Maintain appropriate records.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents.
• Ensure all services comply with state laws and regulations.
• Perform other SLI duties within scope of licensure and certification.

Professional License Requirements

Applicants must have the following certifications; those without will not be considered:

• State licensure or the ability to obtain it.
• ISBE Approval or IDHHC certification.
• No PEL needed.
