Job summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time contract position near Fort Smith, AR. You will work one-on-one with a middle school student to ensure access to classroom instruction and activities throughout the school day.

You will facilitate communication between the student, teachers, peers, and the school community, supporting the student’s academic and social growth for the school year.

Qualifications

• State certification as a Sign Language Interpreter is required.
• ASL interpreter license is required; additional Spanish fluency is strongly preferred (MSL is a plus).
• Experience supporting students in school settings is expected.
• Ability to commit to a full school day, onsite.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct interpreting services for a middle school student throughout the school day (approx. 37.5 hours/week).
• Support participation in academic lessons, group activities, and individual assignments.
