AMPERSAND Therapy is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to support students in a deaf and hard of hearing program at Oswego, IL for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full‑time, 1.0 FTE position with a school-year schedule.

You will provide American Sign Language interpreting services in a school setting, facilitate communication between students and teachers, and mentor students. ISBE approval is required, and school experience is preferred.

About the Role

AMPERSAND Therapy is hiring Sign Language Interpreters to support students enrolled in a deaf and hard of hearing program. The role provides ASL interpreting services to students in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program.

What You’ll Do

Provide American Sign Language interpreting services in a school setting, ensuring effective communication between students and teachers, and offering support and mentorship to students.

What We’re Looking For

• Sign Language Interpreter approval from ISBE
• School experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills
