The educational interpreter is directly responsible to the Director of Special Education Early Childhood and Elementary Programs or their designee, the assigned teacher of hearing impaired, and the building principal. The educational interpreter's primary function is to facilitate communication among hearing impaired students and their hearing peers, the classroom teacher, and other personnel in the school system.
