BAYADA Home Health Care in Philadelphia area (19082) is seeking a part-time Sign Language Direct Support Professional to work with a female client in Bywood/Upper Darby. The DSP provides personal care, companionship, and facilitates community activities using American Sign Language.

The role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities to support individuals with IDD while growing with a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or related settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to transport clients to community activities
• Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)

• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s hobbies and activities

BAYADA’s Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. We are part-time and provide flexibility with scheduling through various shift locations and times throughout Philadelphia, PA.

Looking for a DSP to work with a female client at 19082; must be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)!

Schedule:

• Thursdays 10am-3pm


• Potential for additional hours with other clients around Philadelphia (mornings, afternoons, and nights)

How You’ll Make an Impact as a Sign Language Direct Support Professional:

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)


• Accompany clients on errands and appointments


• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities


• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation


• Participate in community integration activities

Compensation & Schedule:

• Competitive pay rates starting at $18+ / hour with a weekly pay schedule


• Flexible scheduling (part-time, various shifts)

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training MAY be available through our apprentice program)


• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)


• Ability to transport clients to community activities


• Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)
