Job summary

Lemberg Electric in Brookfield, WI is seeking a skilled Sign Installer to join our Sign department. You will install, service, and remove illuminated and non-illuminated signs on customer sites and construction projects, using cranes, lifts, and power tools, and work outdoors year‑round.

Requirements include a valid Class B CDL, OSHA‑30 or ability to obtain within six months, and willingness to join the union. Ability to lift 75 pounds and work at heights.

Sign Installer – Class B CDL

Lemberg Electric | Brookfield, WI Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Union

Lemberg Electric is looking for an experienced Sign Installer to join our Sign department. This position is responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, connection, and removal of illuminated and non-illuminated signs at customer locations and construction sites.

Lemberg Electric is a union, employee-owned electrical contractor and one of southeast Wisconsin's larger contractors. Our teams have worked on major projects throughout the region, including the Milwaukee Art Museum, Harley-Davidson, Milwaukee Tool, IKEA, Fleet Farm, the Deer District, Wisconsin Center District, and many others.

What You'll Do

• Install, service, maintain, connect, and remove illuminated and non-illuminated signs.
• Operate trucks, lifts, cranes, and other equipment used for sign installation and service.
• Install, service, and replace lamps, power supplies, wiring, and related sign components.
• Use proper rigging and signaling procedures when working with cranes and lifting equipment.
• Perform work from aerial lifts, scaffolding, swing stages, and other elevated work platforms.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers, project personnel, and coworkers.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Complete required documentation related to service and installation work.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL and acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related sign installation experience.
• Previous experience leading crews.
• Experience operating or working with cranes, rigging, signaling, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other elevated work equipment.
• Swing Stage Scaffolding Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• NCCO Crane Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Welding experience.
• Customer service experience.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching above the shoulders, and walking on uneven surfaces at job sites. Employees must be able to work at varying heights and in different weather conditions and must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
