Job summary

Young Electric Sign Company in Salt Lake, UT is seeking a Sign Installation Journeyman to install and service commercial signs under supervision. This role requires reading blueprints, operating hand and power tools, and traveling to sites as needed.

The candidate will work with installation helpers, follow safety guidelines, meet project budgets, and ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 6+ years of construction experience.
• Experience welding, heavy equipment, crane, forklift, power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and prepare materials for installation.
• Determine layout and install signs per procedures.
• Transport materials and load/unload equipment.
• Assemble and install products with tools and heavy equipment.
• Perform maintenance on existing signs.
• Complete installation and service paperwork.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and obtain customer sign-off.
• Interact with customers and team members.
